Pen Supply Checklist
What you need to use a pen: pen needles, alcohol prep pads and a sharps container.
A pen does its own measuring, so the list is short.
How this list was made: each line is the product that best matches the specifications this situation asks for, taken from PepPrep's product records. The interactive version asks two questions (Does the pen travel with you?) and adjusts the list.
Read first: Pens vs. vials and syringes: what supplies each one needs explains the routine this list is for. The list below is equipment only.
Must have
Skip one of these and the routine does not work. Lines marked with a dot depend on how you answer the questions in the interactive version; these show the usual answers.
- Pen Needles 32G (100-count) Pen needles — 32G, 4 mm: the short, fine standard
- Alcohol Prep Pads (200-count) Alcohol prep pads
- Sharps Disposal Container Sharps container — pen needles are still needles
Nice to have
Makes it easier, cheaper or more comfortable. None are required.
- Needle Clipper Needle clipper — snips the tip off in a pocket-sized box; for travel days
