The fine print, kept readable
Affiliate disclosure
As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases.
Put simply: the product buttons on this site are Amazon affiliate links. If you click one and buy something, Amazon pays us a small percentage. You pay exactly the same price as if you'd found the product yourself. This commission is the site's only revenue — we don't sell your data, run sponsored placements, or accept payment from brands for better positions in the catalogue.
Amazon prices and images
When a product on this site shows a price, the price comes from Amazon's Creators API, the data service Amazon runs for its Associates, and it is refreshed several times a day. Every price carries the date, time and time zone it was fetched, and it is taken down once it is 24 hours old, so a product with no recent figure shows no price at all. No price here is ever typed in by hand. Buying always happens on Amazon, at Amazon's price on the day: PepPrep lists nothing for sale itself.
Amazon asks for this notice next to its prices, and the "Details" link beside each price leads here:
Product prices and availability are accurate as of the date/time indicated and are subject to change. Any price and availability information displayed on Amazon.com, Amazon.ca, Amazon.co.uk, Amazon.de or Amazon.com.au at the time of purchase will apply to the purchase of this product.
Wherever a price or an Amazon product photo is shown, this notice from Amazon's licence appears on the page as well:
CERTAIN CONTENT THAT APPEARS ON THIS SITE COMES FROM AMAZON. THIS CONTENT IS PROVIDED ‘AS IS’ AND IS SUBJECT TO CHANGE OR REMOVAL AT ANY TIME.
For the German store (Amazon.de), Amazon's licence words it this way:
CERTAIN CONTENT THAT APPEARS ON THIS SITE COMES FROM AMAZON EUROPE CORE S.à r.l. THIS CONTENT IS PROVIDED 'AS IS' AND IS SUBJECT TO CHANGE OR REMOVAL AT ANY TIME.
Product images, when they are shown, are loaded straight from Amazon's servers each time the page opens, so they may change or disappear whenever Amazon changes the listing. The site never copies or stores the pictures themselves; it keeps only each picture's web address, and never for more than 24 hours. As the privacy section explains, Amazon's image servers see those requests the way any image host does.
What we don't list
PepPrep does not sell, stock, broker, or ship peptides, hormones, or so-called "research chemicals," and we hold no stock of any kind — every link goes to Amazon, who take the payment and ship the item. Most of the catalogue is ordinary equipment: syringes, cases, coolers, scales, pads. The mixing fluids are the exception worth naming. Bacteriostatic Water for Injection and Sterile Water for Injection are labelled pharmaceutical products, and in several countries — including the US, where they are marked "Rx only" — they are prescription-controlled rather than general merchandise. We list them because Amazon lists them, and Amazon applies whatever restrictions attach to your delivery address; but you should treat them as pharmacy items and not assume availability where you live implies anything about your own position. Where a product category is restricted where you live (a few US states limit over-the-counter syringe sales, and some countries restrict them to pharmacies), Amazon applies those restrictions at checkout — we have no ability to bypass them and wouldn't want one.
Medical disclaimer
Nothing on this site is medical advice, and we are not clinicians. Our guides and calculator describe products and arithmetic — what supplies are called, how they're commonly used, and how unit math works. They are not a recommendation to use any substance, and they can't account for your situation. For anything involving your health, medications, or injections, consult a licensed clinician, and always follow the labeling and instructions of the actual products you buy.
Privacy
No cookies, and no tracking company. We set no cookies, we use no Google Analytics or advertising tracker, and we never sell or share anything about you. The site's fonts, scripts and its own images are served from our own server, so opening a page here sends your address to our web host. There is one exception, and it is worth naming plainly: product images, when they are shown, load from Amazon's image servers, which then see your address the way any image host does. Nothing else about you is sent with them, and we set nothing on Amazon's behalf — but it is a second company that sees the request, not none.
Visitor statistics. We keep simple, self-hosted statistics on our own server and nowhere else. For each page you open they record: the page and its title, the time, how long the page stayed open and how far down it you scrolled (the page sends a short signal every 25 seconds while it is on screen, for up to 30 minutes), the site you arrived from if any (the site's name only, never the full address), the previous page you viewed on this site if you came from one of ours, any campaign tag on the link you used, roughly which country you are in, your browser's language, whether you are on a phone, a tablet or a computer, the name of your browser and of your operating system (the names only, never the version numbers), the width of your window, which country's Amazon store the buttons are set to, which Amazon buttons you clicked, and which of our own tools you used (for example, that you opened the calculator or picked "travel" in the decision tool). Nothing you type into a tool is recorded.
Two shorter-lived records sit alongside that. A "who is on the site now" table holds the last 24 hours of activity so the owner can see current visitors, and it is swept clear as it ages out. And to stop one machine flooding the collector, a one-way code of the sender's address is held for one minute and then discarded; the address itself is not kept.
It is deliberately built so we cannot work out who you are from it: a visitor is recorded as a one-way code made from your address, your browser's description and a secret that changes every night, so the same person looks like a new visitor each day. Your IP address itself is never written to the statistics. Bots, crawlers and automated scripts are dropped before counting. Rows are deleted after two years and the 25-second signals after two days, and those are real figures rather than intentions: the collector sweeps at least once a day, so nothing sits past its date waiting for someone to remember it.
Email, only if you ask for it. If you type your address into a sign-up box, it is stored in a file on our own server together with the time and the page you signed up from. To be plain about where this stands: the list is being collected now, and no email has been sent to it yet. Sign-up is single opt-in — there is no confirmation email, because there are no emails — and every email that does eventually go out will carry a link to the unsubscribe page. It would be used for nothing except the occasional supply guide from us. No email provider or other company receives the list, we do not sell it, and there are no third-party offers. You can remove your address at any time at the unsubscribe page, which deletes it straight away.
Sending you to the right Amazon. So the buy buttons point at your own country's Amazon store, we work out which country you are in from your browser's timezone and, where it is set up, from your IP address looked up against a country database on our own server. The address is used for that lookup and not written down; the answer is only a two-letter country code, which the statistics keep. Nothing is sent to any outside service for this. The country database is the free IP-to-Country file from DB-IP (opens in a new tab), used under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 licence.
Your settings, on your device only. The site remembers in your own browser your chosen shopping region, your shopping list, the last numbers you typed into the calculators, and your last choices in the decision tool, so they are there when you come back. None of that leaves your device, and clearing your browser's site data removes it.
The private statistics page. The site owner reads the statistics on a password-protected page. If someone repeatedly enters a wrong password, a one-way code of their address (not the address itself) is kept for up to 24 hours so that address can be locked out, then deleted. That is the only security record the site keeps.
Who holds this, how long, and your rights. PepPrep is run by its owner, who is the data controller for everything above; the contact address is hello@pepprep.net, also given on the About page. Our legal basis is legitimate interest for the visitor statistics and the country lookup (both are needed to run and improve the site, and neither builds a profile of you) and your consent for the mailing list, which you withdraw by unsubscribing.
If you are in the UK or EU you have the right to ask what we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to object to processing, to receive a copy, and to complain to your data protection authority (in the UK, the ICO). Write to the address above and we will answer within a month. In practice there is usually nothing to send: the statistics contain no name, no address and no way for us to pick out your visits, so the one thing we can act on is an email address you gave us, which we will delete on request or which you can delete yourself.
One point of honesty about the visitor code: because it is made from your address and browser details, it is pseudonymous rather than truly anonymous, which is why it is covered by everything in this section rather than exempt from it.
The site is otherwise static pages with no accounts. When you click through to Amazon, you are on Amazon's site under Amazon's privacy policy (opens in a new tab), and Amazon knows you arrived from our link, which is how affiliate crediting works. Our web host keeps standard server logs (IP address, page requested, time) as virtually all hosts do, under its own retention rules, and we do not use them for anything.
Terms of use
The content here is provided "as is," free, in the hope that it's useful. We work to keep product information accurate, but listings, prices, and availability on Amazon change constantly and the listing on Amazon always wins. We're not liable for how third-party products are used, for errors on linked pages, or for decisions made based on our general information. If you rely on a number, verify it. If something here looks wrong, tell us and we'll fix it.
