Sterile Saline 0.9% (single-dose vials)

Sodium chloride 0.9% in sealed single-use plastic vials, 5–10 mL each. The same salt-water strength as the body; opened, used once, thrown away.

Why you’d want it: The third liquid on the mixing shelf after bac water and sterile water, and the one nasal-spray recipes call for. Single-dose means there is never an opened bottle going stale.

Picking tip: Read the label for the grade: 'for irrigation' and 'for inhalation' pods are for rinsing and nasal use, and that is what these are for; they are not a substitute for bacteriostatic water, and saline has no preservative, so a vial is one use only.
