A small printer that spits out a stick-on label with the date and a name. Prints from buttons or from a phone.

Why you’d want it: Handwriting on a curved 3 mL vial is the worst handwriting anyone does. A printed label is readable in a dim fridge a month later.

Picking tip: What matters is the tape, not the printer: it must be narrow (9–12 mm) and waterproof, or it lifts in the fridge. The Bluetooth ones use your phone as the keyboard and are quicker; the button ones need no app and no battery drain. Either way, buy one spare roll.
