What to check in the listing
Make sure the listing says M2 and thermal transfer — NIIMBOT's D-series and B-series are the cheaper direct-thermal printers whose labels fade and lift in a fridge. The M2 needs its own ribbon plus label rolls, so budget for one spare of each; the small 30 × 15 mm or 40 × 20 mm labels are the ones that fit a vial.
