Calcium Citrate + D3

Calcium in the citrate form with vitamin D3, in tablets or small 'petite' caplets. Citrate absorbs with or without food, unlike carbonate.

  • With D3
  • Tablets or petites

Why you’d want it: The form bariatric clinics recommend, because it does not need stomach acid, and the one to pair with the vitamin D you already take.

Picking tip: The body absorbs about 500 mg of calcium at a time, so split the day's amount rather than taking it all at once. Take it a couple of hours away from iron, zinc and thyroid tablets. 'Petites' are the same thing in a smaller, easier-to-swallow tablet.

Supplements are food, not medicine: nothing here treats or prevents anything. If you take any medicine, ask a pharmacist first.
