Vitamin D3 + K2
Vitamin D3 with vitamin K2 (MK-7) in the same capsule or drop. D3 is the vitamin most people in northern countries are told they are short of; K2 is commonly paired with it.
- D3 1,000–5,000 IU
- K2 as MK-7
- Capsules or drops
Why you’d want it: The supplement a pharmacist is most likely to have suggested already. One small capsule, or a drop on the tongue, once a day.
Picking tip: Dose varies a lot between products — 1,000 IU is a maintenance amount, 5,000 IU is not — so check the label matches what you have been told to take, and if nobody has told you, a blood test is a cheap way to find out. Drops are easier to adjust than capsules.
Supplements are food, not medicine: nothing here treats or prevents anything. If you take any medicine, ask a pharmacist first.
