Vitamin B12 (methylcobalamin)

A small dissolve-under-the-tongue tablet of vitamin B12 in the methylcobalamin form. 1,000 mcg is the everyday strength.

  • Methylcobalamin
  • 1,000 mcg
  • Dissolves under the tongue

Why you’d want it: One of the vitamins people are most often told they are low in, and the cheapest to fix. Dissolving tablets are easy for anyone who dislikes swallowing pills.

Picking tip: 'Methylcobalamin' rather than 'cyanocobalamin' on the label is the usual preference and costs about the same. 1,000 mcg once a day is the standard strength; the 5,000 mcg ones are for people who have been told to take that much.

Supplements are food, not medicine: nothing here treats or prevents anything. If you take any medicine, ask a pharmacist first.
