Why you’d want it: Casein, plant protein and meal shakes clump in a shaker; a real blade fixes that and gets fruit in too. It is the difference between a shake you finish and one you pour away.

Picking tip: Liquid first, then powder, then anything solid, and keep it under the fill line or it stalls. Blend, then blend again; two short runs beat one long one.
